Abstract:

What role do family foundations play in America’s relationship with the world, particularly at this time in history? Gain insight into the role of family foundations as global grantmakers and read sample stories of families whose horizons have been expanded through their international philanthropy. This paper also lists resources to help family foundations find appropriate grantees or partner organizations in specific areas of international interest, both in the United States and overseas.
