Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy’s Annual Report 2009

Abstract

Within nine years of its establishment, the PCP has created a niche for itself as the lead organization for promotion of philanthropy in the country. In addition to being a dialogue partner of social development networks in the country and the Government of Pakistan, PCP now engages in regional and global activities with like-minded organizations and individuals to share, learn, explore and strengthen the promotion of philanthropy. While it has been a long journey since 2001, the past year has been one in which the Centre has not only been able to achieve a significant increase in the number of Certified Not for Profit Organizations (CNPOs) but has also been able to effectively link donors with these CNPOs. It has moved forward in mobilizing national and international philanthropy and strengthening its linkages.

بعد تسع سنوات من إنشائه، أصبح مركز العطاء الاجتماعي بباكستان مؤسسة رائدة في مجال تعزيز العطاء الاجتماعي في باكستان. وفضلاً عن مشاركته في الحوار مع كل من شبكات التنمية الاجتماعية داخل باكستان والحكومة الباكستانية، فإن المركز يشارك حاليًّا في عدد من الأنشطة الإقليمية والعالمية مع مؤسسات وأفراد نظيرة، وذلك لتبادل الخبرات والمعارف ودعم وتعزيز العطاء الاجتماعي. وجاء العام الماضي تتويجًا لرحلة طويلة بدأت في عام 2001، حيث تمكن المركز من تحقيق زيادة كبيرة في عدد المنظمات غير الربحية المعتمدة وربط هذه المنظمات بالجهات المانحة. كما أحرز المركز تقدمًا في حشد طاقات العطاء الاجتماعي محليًّا ودوليًّا وتعزيز روابطه.
