The Institute owes a huge part of its success to its predecessor, The Desert Development Center (DDC). The DDC, was the heart of RISE. dc.description.abstract This documentary reveals the history and objective of AUC’s Research Institute for a Sustainable Environment (RISE). Founded in 2013, RISE positively impacts not only AUC and Egypt but also the Middle east and North Africa as a whole.
